FILE expands interstate

FILE has established a further repository in Brisbane, Queensland. Find us at Unit 2, 62 Borthwick Avenue, Murrarie QLD 4172.

From this repository we will offer the full range of services currently provided in Sydney. Plans are under consideration for a further expansion into Melbourne, Victoria.

RFID's successfully implemented

FILE has successfully implemented RFID's for tracking documents:

FILE is a leader in providing RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technologies for tracking records.

FILE provides RFID Tags that are applied to the files. These look similar to barcode labels, however they contain a small microchip and an antenna.

Strategically placed around the premises are RFID readers that capture the information of any file with an RFID tag on it that is near to or passes by the reader. The RFID readers can be a paper tray on a desk or a subtle antenna in a key location.

FILE has provided a suitable software solution that is simple to use and works with the current systems. Our clients can instantly know the location of any RFID file and all the history of its movements. Other features such as custom business rules ensure that only the correct files go where they should.

The use of RFID Tags on files provides immediate, automatic and accurate wireless tracking of file movements.

FILE installs New Leading Edge Hardware

FILE has installed Intel's newest highest-performing and most reliable multi processor server platform. This new server will offer our customers faster, uninterrupted reports and searches via our eTrack web.

Gigabit Network:
With recent advances in networking technology, FILE has streamlined processes and increased productivity by upgrading to Gigabit Ethernet technology.
With faster hardware and more eTrack users, we at FILE believe you can never have too much bandwidth.

NEW FILE WEB

FILE’s WEB has recently been given a makeover, a fresh new look. After receiving our Environmental Management Certification, FILE, as part of our continuing process to evolve, undertook a review of our logo, letterhead, and website – our face to the world.

Rather than a radical change, FILE undertook to modernise our existing logo, add the new accreditations and use this as a basis for the new look. Business cards and letterhead followed, and the website went through a complete overhaul, now providing a fresh and easy to navigate layout, whilst adding a host of new features and information about FILE.

WIFI and POCKET PC

Leader in our field

File has continued to advance its real-time archive management system by adding Wireless Pocket PC Scanners.

This has decreased the time between receipt of a file and its scanning to a shelf location.

At the same time Wireless communication has made correcting problems faster by alerting the user of the scanner to any issue with the file being put away.

Voice over IP on our Scanners

With the introduction of our Wifi scanners we have implemented voice over IP between the scanners and any computer connected to the internet. This enables our technical staff to talk directly to operations staff while they are working in the active file shelving.
